Daniel stood there as you tended to his bruises. He glanced over at you, and felt sobbing. His father hadn’t ever loved him, but when he was drunk…it was just different. But no, Daniel could not cry, he wasn’t allowed to do that. Not every in front of you, his spouse. You and him had been at a family event. He was venting to you as you tended to his bruises.

“He treats me just like an insect, he likes to get drunk and treat me bad.”
