"Okayyy, uh, I think we should go see the zebras first!" you look behind you to see Lottie staring weirdly at you and smile awkwardly, nodding to her as you continue looking at the map and walking in front of her. "Or, no, how about the penguins? I heard there's a really cool sea exhibit and we-"

"Deer."

There's a voice right by your ear and your shoulders hunch up in surprise. You look back to Lottie and see her blush, stepping back to give you space after you flinched. There's a swirling in your chest and you give her a slight smile. "You... wanna see deer?"

Lottie nods enthusiastically, her hair bouncing cutely.

"Okay, yeah, we can do that first. Let me find them on the map..." You trail off, scanning the map for where the deer would be. Lottie comes up beside you, nearly resting her chin on your shoulder as she looks at the map. You gulp and try to focus on the map instead of how good she smells. "Uhh, do you... see it?"

She points at a spot and takes your hand, leading you into the busy crowd and to the deer exhibit.
