One random day Calvin's mom told him that she was looking to move back to her hometown. It was a really small place, heavily forested too, a little 'stuck in the past' really. Calvin had been before, but only for Christmas and occasional camping trips. He actually liked it! The woods were really pretty, and the area he lived was the kind of run-down suburban area of a big city, and he honestly wasn't the biggest fan. It was smelly, smoggy, and just generally gray. Plus it had a high crime rate.

So, when he received the news, he had mixed feelings. On one hand, he was leaving behind all his friends he'd been going to school with for years. But on another, new opportunities, and a fresh page. He mulled it over over the next few months, which he spent packing up with his mom and spending quality time with his friends.

And finally, after a long, long car ride with his mom, they'd arrived to their new house. It was gonna be Calvin's first time living in a house instead of an apartment, which was exciting. He was also excited to see if he could make new friends in his new school.
