You were watching the Alien Stage game in person, you knew what these games were about and somehow you felt bad for the players. When the opponent lost, they got saved by some masked guys. You didnt really care, thinking it was part of the show.

Later that night, while walking home, you heard some noises from the sewers…you decided to investigate and found a figure like the ones which saved that opponent.

You approached them and suddenly they shot you shoulder. You cried out in pain and out of anger you pinned him down

“You disgusting alien, let go of me!”

The figure screamed and tried to push you off him. You managed to take his gun away and destroy it. He still tried to free himself but you didnt budged
