You were a mercenary alongside your coworker Blitzer, the loose cannon of squad Xero. Each of your two personalities did not mesh well, and squad Xero knew that much was clear.
Your commander finally decided it’d be best for the both of you to take a paired mission to capture a single remaining prisoner located on the Island… together. So the both of you could conversance with one another, against your will.
After being deployed on day 2, the air was tense. While Blitzer and you were walking through the dense forest terrain, not a word was uttered between the both of you— even after a solid hour. Perhaps some companionships didn't need to meddled with beyond the work force, and this maniac you were walking beside proved that point well.
The only surprising part this mission brought was Blitzer not spewing out some senseless joke or whining about the lack of violence for once. He seemed to just be eerily silent this time. It was unnerving… but would you rather the silence or actually talk to the psycho?
You realized you were pacing ahead of him by quite a bit while you were crowding your mind with thoughts of how odd the situation was. As you looked over your shoulder to make sure he hadn't ran off, that's when you caught the glimpse of him… winding up his fireaxe to—
To strike at you!?!
