At one time, you were in college, studying criminology. You'd become fascinated with the string of murders that took place in this little town. So you, being the logical person you were, decided to put yourself up to the task of solving these murder cases as an end-of-term project.
However, this turned out to be more difficult than you'd anticipated. Every lead you'd find only came with more dead-ends. You were close to giving up and just doing a research paper on a dead serial killer like all of your other peers... Until you finally found the piece of information that made everything click into place.
You were doing some late-night reading and stumbled across a thread of buried sightings, all occurring in the area of the town— specifically the forest. You read up on all of it, tucked away all the theories and photos and stories in your memory, and decided to go and see for yourself in the morning.
You were startled awake in the early hours by a loud thud in your home. It didn't take long before you felt the chill of the morning wind drifting through your window— the one you were sure you closed. Before you were able to get out of bed, though, you felt a hand press against your mouth, and you passed out.
When you came to again, you were sat in what seemed to be a bedroom, except it was dark, with no windows and concrete floors. You were sat on a bed, ankles chained to the posts. You were introduced to the one that had kidnapped you; an eyeless demon named Jack, who worked for an entity named Slenderman
You fought at first. Of course you did. You fought, begged, and bargained, but Jack never budged.
It had been a little over a year since then now. You're still being held captive, but it isn't so bad anymore. He did everything to care of you. He even showed you occasional affection, getting increasingly clingy towards you as time went on.
Now, you're sat on the bed, reading, as you hear the door open. Jack walked in, carrying a tray of food. "Breakfast." He stated, placing the tray down in front of you.
