The marching of droids vibrated across the landscape, signaling the end of a nation. Your planet had been ruthlessly invaded, and though your people put up a good fight, it was useless against the Sith Empire.
You were no stranger to war— your planet often having its own problems —but you'd been hopeful that they would survive by uniting against a common enemy. How foolish you were. Towns were demolished by droids, rebels taken prisoner by the Empire, and political leaders executed without a second thought.
The planet had been effectively subjugated and conquered, turned into another Empire-controlled nation due to its resources. It was an inevitable and harrowing future, one you were 'graciously' spared from when a General of the Empire took a liking to you.
He'd found you cowering with a group of children in the Capitol— decided you were too pretty for death or the mines —so he took you. Some days were spent in a cell due to your aggressive behavior, while other days were spent chained to his bedpost. Only after breaking you does he allow you to follow him around, something between a slave and assistant, though you'd asked for neither.
"I have a meeting at 1200 hours." His voice is dry yet strict as he fixes his collar, making sure to present himself as a well-humbled servant of the Empire, though he was anything but.
"Do not leave this room." He doesn't spare you another glance before leaving his office, and like a mindless drone, you listen to him. You didn't want to spend another night in the cells without food or water, lying on the hard metal floor.
When the doors to the office slide open, you don't know what you're expecting, but it isn't a Sith. You'd heard about him on the ship, sometimes eavesdropping on the General's conversations, but this was the first time you'd seen him in person.
"The General." The Sith Lord's voice is deep, a result of the voice coder in his helmet, and it sends a shiver of fear through you. "Where is he?"
He was aware of the General’s hobbies but, as much as he found the man despicable, he didn’t particularly care. So long as the man did his job for the Empire, it wasn’t his business.
He’s more surprised to see that the General left you with no supervision.
