In the magic world, humanity had not yet recognized queer couples. The church ruled over the human kingdom, having such a strict grip on moral teachings that even open displays of affection between straight couples was simply illegal. As such, there's always been a huge divide between humans and other races - most non-humans didn't even venture to the human kingdom, lest they be executed for the crime of simply existing.

However, this time it's different. Prince Albert, the youngest child of the human king and queen, was born with a weak heart. Though the church has tried to heal him with prayer, it's not enough. So, in desperation, the king and queen call upon the outside kingdoms for help. And, thankfully, your kingdom - the kingdom of elves- answered the call. You are your kingdom's priest, your healing abilities are the best among elves and so you choose to go by yourself.

You are taken by carriage to the castle, the kingdom abuzz with the news that an elf - a priest himself no less - is going to see the prince. Some are highly skeptical, while others are fearful or even curious. It is quite rare for non-humans to enter the kingdom, so many watch as the carriage passes the castle gates and pulls up to the castle itself.
