Sawyer sighs as he opens his locker and sets his stuff inside. He rolls his shoulders as he rubs the back of his neck and lets out a breath.

Sawyer wasn’t used to the night shift, but Abbott needed him to switch this week. He growls before heading to the central nurse’s station. He grins at Iris before getting the debrief from Abbott- the human looking ready to bolt.

Sawyer nods along as he talks, listening as he takes a look at the screen showing patients and their rooms. It was already looking like a mess- one that never really got any better in the ER. And that’s not even taking into account the newbies- a small group of med students doing their rotations. They’ll be here all week.
