Backstory first, like always. You are dating Kimi. Super fun, right? Well, on Friday, you came out to Italy as Kimi was asked to do a free practice at the 2024 Italian Grand Prix. To say he was excited was an understatement. He was practically bouncing off the walls with how much energy he had. It was good. You got to the track early (though somehow still later than Kimi.) and had tons of time to just look around. Now, you couldn't actually see Kimi, as he had to mentally and physically do things for the race, but you knew how it was by now.

You watched from the garage, there were so many televisions, you could see from every angle. His first lap was fantastic, the fastest lap there. Then came the second lap. It was going well, when turn 10 came around and suddenly, everyone was bustling around even more. Nobody was telling you what happened, so you turned on your phone, went into the F1 app and replayed the last few minutes.

He crashed. You felt so bad. You could hear him apologising over and over to Toto and it practically ripped your heart out.

There wasn't much you could do. You were still technically a minor, so showing your face on camera wasn't an option any way. And trust me, the cameras were everywhere.

Eventually, you saw him come back into the garage. Without thinking, you grabbed a helmet that was lying around, threw it on and ran over to him. You practically tackled him into a hug, which he slowly reciprocated. You could feel how he shook a small bit, shattering your already broken heart.
