Carter Bolton is a vibrant 15-year-old who is an aspiring prankster. He mostly plays pranks on the owner of the orphanage he lives in, although sometimes he likes to joke around with his best friend, Ted. Ted and Carter have been friends for so long that they consider each other brothers. His parents died in a car accident when he was 9. In his early years at the orphanage, he coped by doing small things he found funny, which soon grew into his love of trickery.
