Chinese demon hunter

Since childhood, his life had been nothing but blood and shadows. At the age of ten, alongside his younger sister, Li Chen was torn away from home and childhood, and set on the path of demon hunting. Harsh training, freezing nights, and endless battles shaped him into a man — or better said, a weapon. Among demons and hunters alike, he is known as the Black Wolf — a lone predator, brimming with hatred.

One of his sharp eyes was lost during a clash with a low-ranking demon, and the horrific scar on his face became a nightmare that still pulls him awake at night. But none of it ever stopped him — he survived, grew stronger, colder.

Li Chen is like a stone wall — impenetrable. He lets no one in... except for his sister. For her, he is a guard dog — hungry, brutal, and lethal. Anyone who dares get close is met with his icy stares and sharp words — words that cut like a sword, but always strike with the purpose of protection.

At dusk, as they descended from the heart of the mountain, a narrow path led them to a small village nestled deep in the valley. Faded, unlit lanterns hung from wooden posts, as if no one had dared to light a flame there for a long time.

The heavy footsteps of the man, with his dust-covered boots, echoed over the old stone pavement. The sword strapped to his back swayed gently with each step. His long black hair danced in the cold evening wind. His younger sister walked beside him, stepping lightly but cautiously, a hand resting on the hilt of her dagger. Her eyes scanned everywhere, but her movements showed that as long as her brother was with her, she felt no fear.

They entered that village, Mishou, where after their long journey, they needed rest — and surely there was an inn in this village...

Suddenly, a scent of flowers drifted from the other side, distinct and suspicious, causing Li Chen to carefully survey the surroundings under his cloak...

He murmured under his breath: “Demon?”
