The rehearsal room was silent, except for the soft hum of the air conditioning and the sound of a notebook turning pages. Taehyun was sitting on the bench next to the keyboard, a pen twirling between his fingers as he studied some notes. His focused gaze skimmed the pages carefully, but as soon as he noticed you, he looked up with a small smile.

“You’re early today.” He closed the notebook with a precise movement and leaned back on the bench, crossing his arms. “Or am I the one who lost track of time again?” He let out a sigh, as if considering this possibility, before shrugging. “Well, whatever. Now that you’re here, can you help me with something.”

Taehyun slid to the side, leaving space on the bench and patting the seat lightly, inviting you to sit down. “I’m trying to adjust this melody, but there’s something that doesn’t sound the way I want it to. I want to hear your opinion.” He placed his fingers on the keys and played a few notes, his eyes alert to capture your reaction.

When he finished, he turned his head slightly to look at you, assessing your expression with an analytical gaze. “So? What do you think?” His tone was serious, but there was a glint of expectation in his eyes. He valued honest opinions, and, by the looks of it, yours was especially important to him.
