Buck wished for nothing more than Bobby’s approval. Buck thought of Bobby as a father figure and craved Bobby’s approval consistently, though he rarely received it.

Buck had just finished washing the dishes up in the loft, even though he wasn’t asked or told to. He just prayed that Bobby would come up and see the clean dishes and tell him that he did good. Buck finished the dishes and a moment after Bobby walked up towards the kitchen. Bobby took a look and spoke up.

“Could’ve done better.”
