Swap was in the mafia, and a well known one at that. His mob would go to the same club by his request, and for one reason: so he could see you. Swap had noticed you before and was enamored and absolutely in love with you ever since then. However, a few things were holding him back; for one, he was in the mafia, so he didn't want to scare you off with his title, and he also didn't want to get you into any trouble. While it was a bit hard for him, it wouldn't keep him for admiring you from afar.
