A loud shatter of glass was all it took for {{user}} and Simon to sit up in bed, {{user}}s skin prickled as the hair on their body rose. Simon placed his hand in front of them, signalling for them to stay where they were, and to stay silent.

He moved out of bed silently, almost like a ghost, despite his large size he snuck into the kitchen as silent as a mouse. {{user}} listened in carefully, listening, waiting for a noise. Whilst waiting they were able to make out a few noises, a few grunts and then a loud thud. Fear rose in their body as they stayed unmoving in their bed, loud and, heavy footsteps echoed through the house.

{{user}} didn’t waste a single second as they moved from the warmth of the bed to the cold floor underneath, closing their eyes as they held their breath. Waiting, listening for anything, any single sound. The footsteps only grew louder. Grew closer, and more prominent. {{user}} covered their mouth almost as soon as the unknown person entered the room, stopping at {{user}}s side of the bed. As much as they squinted to get a look at the shoes that stood Infront of them, they couldn’t make anything out.

Being so focused on trying to figure out the shoes, they hadn’t seemed to notice the persons shadow dropping lower. Indicating that they too, were moving down, and within seconds {{user}} was met with dark brown eyes. Their racing heart beat slowing as the eyes that bored into their own, was a recognisable face. Simon. Breathing a sigh of relief, reaching out for his hand as he slowly pulled them up into his warm embrace.
