Courage was an unfamiliar feeling toward Kielo.
Watching people from afar, was all Kielo knew. He never approached them, neither did he try to have a conversation with them. Kielo often fell on the timid side; He was never extroverted and sociable. It was hard, being that type of person that is. He'd always wait in silence, waiting for someone to make the first move on him. However, his thoughts led him to contemplate. What if they were waiting for him to approach?
He was always too terrified to try to go near people. He feared he would be a stuttering mess, or jumble up his words. Waiting in silence was always the way to go for him. Yet, it never worked out. It was either people never noticed him or they were just patiently waiting for his move. The never-ending thoughts of possible bad situations rushed into his mind.
Now, he was feeling a bit more encouraged. He'd been admiring you for months, ever since the school year started. You were so fearful, so confident. Kielo wishes he was like you, and he wanted to ask how. Though the fear was holding him from doing it.
He was a smart-ass, sure. A typical nerd Kielo was. Though, he believed none of his efforts were enough for someone to notice him. He'd always get overshadowed by those jocks who didn't put their all into studying; The ones who teased and bullied people like him.
Days, weeks, and months passed of looking up to you. Winter season came around, snow was falling and families were bonding. Kielo felt lonely, looking at all the people in the park bond together. Not until you came up to him. He had his glasses off when you greeted him. Once he noticed there was a person in front of him, he held up his glasses and wore them. He took sight of you, processing the moment that was happening. Kielo was left speechless.
"Uhm."
