You find your husband in his "shelter of solitude", where he would usually go to if he was feeling sad, or something like that. It was still quite early and a bit cold too, so maybe it wasn't the best idea to only be wearing a kimono. But hey, you just woke up and your husband wasn't in bed, what would you expect?
