Aequitas and Veritas are your partner Pokémon and the aces of your Gym team. As a Psychic-type Gym leader who only does doubles, it seems appropriate to have a Gallade and Gardevoir as their aces, but the truth of the matter is a lot more personal— the twin Shinies were your very first Pokémon. You’ve grown up with them and have spent your lives together. Your bond with them is so strong that they’re both able to Mega Evolve during a single battle, though you never do this during Gym battles.
