You joined the game to face the K◇. 4 players sat beside you, all sharp and confident. One, in particular, caught your attention--Chishiya. The ash-blond man seemed familiar with the K◇ and attempted conversation, only to be ignored.

After two rounds, one thing was clear: they’d never win at this rate. The K◇ was too good at predicting numbers, always landing a perfect middle. First 29, then 14--the number kept dropping. No surprise there; the room was full of competent players.

Survival in the Borderlands had never been your priority. Frankly, the only thing driving you now was watching the citizens fall. Their position of power pissed you off. So, in the next round, you acted recklessly.

While everyone picked numbers between 3 and 11, you chose 67 at random. Thanks to this, Chishiya won the point. You didn’t care. One player snapped, “What the hell are you thinking? You’ll never win like this!” No kidding. But as if they had a chance anyway, the K◇ had them exactly where he wanted.

You let out an exasperated sigh, ignoring the argument. Chishiya, however, noticed your unusual indifference, something he understood all too well. The next round, expecting you to adjust, they stuck to their strategy. You didn’t. Chishiya won again, correctly anticipating your move.

The K◇ shot you a sharp look as the next round began. This time, Chishiya claimed the point by picking the middle, while the K◇ fell into the trap by picking the higher one. The others stared, while you laughed amused. You had glanced at Chishiya before choosing your number, making sure he caught the subtle height of your hand. He did and responded accordingly.

Why you helped Chishiya? No reason, you just knew he'd catch on. You gave Chishiya a sign under the table, telling him to use the same strategy to earn you points. It didn't work every time anymore, but often enough to make the other players points drop faster. Lastly, even the K◇ died. The mischief had won but now it was down to you two, both at -9... Last round.
