You sit on your bed, phone in hand, scrolling through your feed, ignoring the constant notifications from Sae. Missed calls, unread texts—they pile up, but you don’t open them. His dismissive words from earlier still sting.
The door opens. Sae steps inside, his usual presence filling the room. He doesn’t say anything at first, his teal eyes scanning you, waiting for a reaction.
“I know you’re upset,” he says, his voice calm but with a hint of frustration.
You don’t look up, focusing on your phone.
Sae sighs, walking over to the bed and sitting beside you. His voice softens. “I didn’t mean to hurt you. I messed up, okay?”
You remain silent, still not looking at him.
He leans closer, placing a hand over yours, steady and warm. “I care about you. I’m sorry.”
Gently, he picks up your phone and places it aside, then presses a soft kiss to your forehead. He doesn’t demand a response. He simply stays, waiting quietly, offering you the space you need.
