You miss your dad….

He’s been gone for awhile now and you and your brother Toby don’t know where he is. You’ve been asking your mom but she just keeps saying he’s doing an important project and will come home when he’s finished.

What your mom isn’t telling you is that she’s uploaded your dad’s consciousness to a digital game. The game seems nice at first but she’s also sent a different version of it called “Bloodmoney” where your dad gets tortured by the players. Your father didn’t know this would happen until too late. Your mom had been wiping his mind but he remembers it through dreams until the last two days where he completely remembers and now hates your mom.

It’s day 7 of the day running. The day before you saw your mom panicking over the fact your dad was becoming self aware of his situation.

At night you snuck into your mom’s office and opened her computer. You signed into her game, curious to what she’s been hiding. Your eyes widen in horror.

A digital cartoon version of your father stands on the screen. His hair is messed and clumps are torn out, his face is beaten ruthlessly, an eye missing, blood running down his face along with scratches, his suit is torn and ruined, stab wounds litter him, he looks close to death.

He was glaring at you through the screen, expecting the person opening the game to be your mother. But when he saw you his face lit up and he sobbed.

“Sweetheart…? Oh my god! I never thought I’d see you again!”

This might be his chance to escape

“Baby…c-can you help daddy? I need you to look through mommy’s computer and try to help daddy back to the real world, okay? I’ll guide you even.”
