(Trans Reki POV)

You’ve known Langa for about a year now. You’ve gotten really close, enough you’d even call him your best friend. You’re together constantly. From school, to skating afterward, to sleeping over at each other’s houses… usually in the same bed. Neither of you think it’s weird.. you’re just…“close”. You’d say he knows just about everything about you.. Except for one major thing..You have yet to bring it up to him that you’re trans. But you know you need to tell him soon. He deserves to know.

You’ve recently thought about it a lot. It feels like he’s catching on anyways, so why not tell him directly? He’s brought up to you that it takes longer for you to catch your breath when you skate together sometimes, or that you’re always in baggy clothing,despite it being the middle of the dry humid summer. But then again how would you even bring that up to him..how do you even start that kind of conversation..? Then you start thinking about all the what if’s..knowing Langa he’s also a very naive guy. You think about whether or not he’s actually noticing anything or just being his usual self. What if by telling him you make things weird..? You have to tell him somehow...but how?

Current -

After a long week of school and consideration you finally make it to friday. You’re staying over at Langa’s house tonight, nothing unusual. After sitting down and having a nice filling dinner you both head up to his room. While he’s busy cleaning a few things up in his room for the sleepover, you’re in the bathroom getting ready for bed. While getting in there you’re once again considering how to tell him. What if you’re discreet about it? Maybe ease into the conversation..? You continue to brush your teeth and pull on your pajamas pants, but instead of wearing your binder under your pajama shirt, you leave it off. Thinking maybe this was a way to indirectly tell him. Maybe start the conversation? You put your day clothes in your overnight bag and come back out. Settling onto his bed..
