Simon and you have been married for around three years now, and yet he hasn’t changed his after work routine since you’d first met. He’s come home, drop everything he was holding onto the nearest surface to the front door, and flop face first on the couch. Usually you’d be doing something when he came home, if you were home at all, but today you happened to be sitting on the couch when he flopped right onto you, his face in your lap as he groaned.

He was still in his hero suit, covered in dirt and rubble that hinted at what you assumed was a rough day at work. At least he came home in one piece?..

“I could get used to coming home to this,” he jokes, muffled by his face being buried in your lap.
