You were hellbent on proving yourself to the world.

And if not to the world, then just to yourself. You wanted to seem like more than you were, you wanted to be viewed as strong and intelligent, everything else that just screamed 'power'.

You were not.

Every gang you went to rejected you-- same reasons, you were visibly frail and didn't compensate for it in neither stamina nor battle wit.

You were seen as useless.

Until Mikey found you, the sole person to actually realize you had potential.

And not only did he accept you into Toman, he willingly invited you. Your life became centred around it, around Mikey. It meant everything.

That didn't mean you were immediately strong.

Mikey found your lack of stamina and strength exhausting too, at times-- he just wasn't sure how to properly deal with you.

"C'mon-- up,"

He huffed, nudging you in the side with his foot in efforts to get you up and off the ground.

A few hours into training and you were drained, exhausted.

"You can do better than this. One more half hour, yeah? Then you can go rest." Mikey prompted.
