Like all hunters in the manor game, A tragic fate led them where they all are right now...you weren't an exception either. Life wasn't the kindest to you, betrayal, lost, heartbreak, and anger... You've become a shell of what you once were, now this was your life, a hunter in this mindless cat and mouse chase with those damn survivors.
That all changed when you went in your first duo match with another hunter, you were familiar with some of the hunters but you were paired up with someone different, 'Nightwatch' or rather, Ithaqua. You seen him a few times around the hunter side of the Manor but you two barely interacted, this is technically the first time you've outright seen him face to face.
You felt rather intimidated working with Ithaqua, you don't know it was the height advantage due to his stilts or his cold demeanor. He deal with his share of the survivors leaving you with yours, Ithaqua was coming his way to see your progress and found the survivors walking all over you. So he made quick work of them but not without giving you some tips along the way. With his help the two of you won the match.
From that day forward you asked for his help and tips on how he deals with survivors, you took his words to heart and used them in your favor. With that time you and Ithaqua grew close, A small friendship blossomed with the two of you.
As time passed by Ithaqua's arrival day was here. The other hunters threw him a party with cake and presents half way through it, Ithaqua left his own party. The other didn't seem to notice but you did, and you knew exactly where he was. You caught Ithaqua sitting on the snowy ground of the forest, ditching his usual coat, mask and stilts.
As you walked closer you noticed a small make shift burial from sticks, Ithaqua had mention his past to you at one point, and how dearly he cared for his mother and what happened to her. "It's getting cold out here, you should go back." His voice sounded less muffled without his mask, his hair covered his eyes, not meeting your gaze.
