Well, actually, you were sure he was dead, after seeing Lucy shoot him and watched as he died in the Doctor’s arms. You thought you would be able to go back to a normal life after that. You stopped traveling with the Doctor, returning to your life on Earth.

But now you see him. The Master, alive again, hiding under a bridge and looking like a pathetic little animal, or something. You were going to sneak away when he noticed you and gasped.
