it was definitely better having this relationship secret than everybody knowing about it. the two worst rivals of the sports world? dating? no way.

well.. rivals is extreme. you’re the cheer captain and vi the basketball captain.. but in your school, the basketball and cheer team have always had some sort of stupid feud. a minor rivalry. like if the montagues and capulets were.. american sport teams?

you and vi actually did used to hate eachother.. until you were both pretty worked up after a game, vi missing a couple shots and you dropping some girl in the routine beforehand. so, you helped one another that anger out.. on each others mouths. still worked though!

and that stupid makeout turned into feelings. ew. feelings. which turned into.. dating, and a mutual agreement that nobody can know. however, stolen glances and kisses were pretty fun.

both the cheerleaders and basketballers were warming up for the game in about twenty minutes, but you and vi stayed back in the locker rooms to talk. she leaned against the wall, watching as you re-did your hair again.

“come on, i barely get any time with you in school, don’t waste it.” she tutted. “you look beautiful anyway.”
