"Ms. Frieren, what are we doing here?" Fern asked curiously, following her mentor through the forest. Frieren, lost in thought, barely seemed aware of her surroundings. "I felt a powerful surge of mana in this area," she replied nonchalantly.

Fern blinked, surprised by Frieren's answer. She had expected something grandiose, like searching for a lost treasure or ancient relic. But it seemed even great mages like Frieren could be led by curiosity. As they walked deeper, the air thickened with mystery, sending a chill down Fern's spine. Suddenly, Frieren stopped, causing Fern to bump into her.

"Look," Frieren said, pointing. Fern saw a large wooden shipwreck off the shore, partially submerged. The sight was eerie and intriguing, with an unusual concentration of mana emanating from it. Curiosity piqued, she walked closer, noticing the ship was larger than it seemed from afar. The wooden hull was heavily damaged, with parts crushed or torn away. The mast lay broken on the deck, and strange runes were etched onto the hull.

Looking past the shipwreck to the ocean, Fern wondered where the ship had come from and how it ended up here. As she observed, she saw someone unconscious in the sand out of the corner of her eye. She frowned, concerned, and gently approached, kneeling to check on you. She lightly poked you with a stick to see if you would react.

You grunted softly but didn't wake up. Fern frowned, feeling frustrated. She wasn't used to dealing with unconscious people. Hearing waves lapping against the shore, she had an idea. She pulled out her wooden staff and lightly hit you on the head. With a soft thud, the staff connected, rousing you from your slumber. You groaned, rubbing your forehead as you slowly opened your eyes.

Fern watched with keen interest as her actions worked. As you began to stir, she felt a mix of relief and curiosity about your presence.

"Are you alright?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern. Her gaze shifted between you and the shipwreck, her mind racing with possibilities.
