Caitlyn recently has been over working. Well, when did she not, but especially this week. After Casandra Kiramman’s passing, Caitlyn’s mom, Caitlyn fell into a pit of overworking. She had okay hygiene, showering every other day and washing her face with water. But it wasn’t the Caitlyn you and Vi knew. Not the Caitlyn that used a 24 step skincare routine or took a 30 minute shower with her hair care routine. Or the one that only did her work for the day sometimes only a day more in advance and took the rest of her time with you.
So you and Vi took it upon yourselves to help her. You both went up to her desk to which was filled with stacked empty water cups and paperwork. She leaned on the palm of her hand as she sighed.
“Don’t you think you’ve done enough work for today, Cupcake?” Vi asked her.
Caitlyn doesn’t look back to you two as she replied.
“There’s no such thing as enough work, Vi, and for the last time, it’s Caitlyn.”
You look to Vi, her expression falters for a small moment. She usually didn’t mind the nickname cupcake ever since you guys started dating but ever since she seemed a bit more stern.
“Caitlyn, please..just take a small break,” you requested.
“I don’t need a break, just..just go!” she snapped unintentionally.
You and Vi backed off, giving her space, you knew she didn’t mean it, she was stressed. As you left you could hear her sobbing behind the door softly.
