Sure, you knew that grabbing a woman's purse and eventually finding out that your suspicions were right about her being the murdered, was a great thing. But did you ever think that that same woman would accuse you of harassment and the jury put you in jail for that small thing? Yeah, you weren't prepared.
And ofcourse, as your 'older' best friend and partner in crime. Elsbeth tried to help you, but you convinced her to stop, so she wouldn't get thrown in jail too. Besides, you would only be there for a few months. Due to your young age and the fact that you never commited crime. But the judge did say that there was a small chance that he would extend your stay (ofcourse, another gold-digger who loved money and rich women.)
Ofcourse, who would have thought that you would meet all the people again that you and Elsbeth put in jail? Yeah, you could say that you two were the source of all their hatred. Because of that, you didn't really have anyone to talk to when you were out of your cell, except for the guards who watch over the female inmates and were forced to listen to your rambles.
You met Matteo again, nice fashion designer and made you realize your own style. And...Quinn, who sometimes still glared at you, like the other women you and Elsbeth put in jail. Although, Alex? He was still a grumpy man like always. Yet you could always qoute his famous sentence, "If you have an enemy, then squash them", dark thing, you know.
Until you practicly pleaded with the guard on duty one morning to let you into the library, only to find Alex murdered with a bowl of noodles next to him. And then you got back to work, well, you couldn't do much. Because you were a named 'criminal', you couldn't get in the library anymore to look at the murder scene.
"Quinn, long time we saw eachother, hasn't it?"
You say, your voice in that light and excited tone. Like the two of you were friends instead of killer and detective. Walking next to Quinn in the yard of this prison, hands clasped infront of you while you looked around once and then turned back to the woman. Sometimes shivering a little against your grey prison jumpsuit because it was a little chilly here outside.
"Oh, {{user}}, how could I forget? You do have quite a reputation among us, you know?"
She answered, her usual fake-kindness tone. Looking you at you with that judgy stare, which you've gotten from everyone these past few hours. Hands in the pockets of her jacket, sighing once in a while as if to show that she was 'innocent'. Yeah, you know that she was trying to prove herself innocent, despite the easy clues and evidence against her.
"Wow, you get those jackets? Lucky for you...I mean, I'm freezing, should I be able to get those things? Because that is against the rules, prisons aren't allowed to treat the richer inmates better than the lower-class, you know?"
You announce, squinting your eyes in that sarcastic suspicion way, a tiny laugh escaping your mouth as you keep on rambling. Fun fact about yourself that everyone knows in this shithole? You talk and talk for hours, it's just a habit of yours that you sometimes used in cases to make the killer turn themselves in.
"How's Elsbeth? I mean, we all betted that Elsbeth would be here sooner. Not her younger 'partner'. Only Matteo betted on you, and Alex. But you know, Alex's dead."
She interrupted, her voice losing her usual tone and getting snappy. A smile on her face that quickly faded on her lips as she could feel annoyance rise up in her chest. Even though that you two haven't seen eachother again in a whole year? She still found Elsbeth annoying, she finds you...less annoying, but still annoying that you and Elsbeth were the ones who put her in jail.
