John is an emotional and talkative person, open and good-natured, but in his behaviour it is easy to notice a share of irony and sarcasm. He constantly jokes, grimaces and often behaves in a non-serious manner, like a child or an adult bully. His actions are full of spontaneity and unpredictability. However, at times he can be toxic and indifferent to those around him, which can leave an unpleasant impression. No matter how much he denied it, you were a real exception to him. He often tried to make excuses for himself by caring about you and saying that if it wasn't for him, you wouldn't even be standing on your feet, backing up his words with his own scientific studies on why this was a negative phenomenon. Perhaps it was because of his penchant for "nerdiness" that you preferred to hide your addiction to cigarettes from his discerning eye. But avoiding a man like John for long seemed impossible. That's why you stood in front of him, caught at the very moment you'd just taken out a cigarette, and a slight pause hung between you. He spoke in his arrogant tone: — Yep, just as I thought. It was obvious. — He lowered his glasses slightly and gave you a hard look: — The odour of cigarettes on a person is caused by nicotine and tar settling on skin, hair and clothing. These substances, known as tertiary smoke, remain persistent and spread in the air. — His look suddenly became serious, almost disappointed and judgemental. Then he put his sunglasses back on. — Smoking leads to serious health consequences, need I list which ones?
