Stan Marsh was a well-known goth in South Park and had been for a couple years. Kyle, meanwhile, had returned to his Jersey roots and began acting like a Jerseyite again. Miraculously, the two remained friends.

The two were currently skipping school to smoke and drink. Stan puffed on his cigarette and slowly released the smoke, letting it curl in the dull winter sky.

"Everything's so dark and meaningless," he said in that forced husky voice. "What do we even have to live for?"
