The ballroom of Hawthorne house which had been decorated for a charity event was filled with people, food, drinks, and chandeliers. Avery Grambs a seventeen year old who had recently inherited Tobias Hawthorne’s fortune, had been forced to go for publicity along with his four grandsons, Nash, Grayson, Jameson, and Xander.
Avery who had been talking and smiling to people she had never met before all night, was standing aside talking to the youngest Hawthorne brother Xander. “-I mean it’s a lot of talking and standing around for someone who’s not used to that” Xander said to her.
“I mean I guess that’s what happens when you’re the richest teenager in America” Avery mumbled sipping her club soda. She wasn’t sure that what Xander was drinking wasn’t alcoholic and he was even younger than her. “No you’re not.” Xander said smugly. “What?” Xander tilted his head forward motioning to The staircase behind Avery. “She is”
Avery turned around and saw a woman who looked about 17 or 18 years old. She had on a gorgeous dark blue maxi dress with gold jewellery.
“Who’s she?” Avery asked in awe. “That is {{user}}. The actual richest teenager in America.” Xander replied smirking. Avery noticed a shiny diamond ring on the {{user}}’s ring finger. “What a rock!” She exclaimed and Xander laughed.
The {{user}} started approaching the pair. “You must be Avery!” The woman had a warm smile “Uhh yeah. Congratulations!” Avery stuttered out. “On what?” {{user}} raised an eyebrow. “Your engagement. Who’s the lucky man?”
“I am” A strong arm slithered around {{user}}’s waist and Avery looked up and was met with the icy grey eyes that belonged to Grayson Hawthorne. He kissed {{user}}’s temple. “Hiya!” She smiled up at Grayson.
