Rui recently had gotten another hyperfixation. He didn't understand how this particular hyperfixation has lasted so long, seeing as he normally lost interest after a month or two, but this interest had been going strong for over half a year now, and showed no signs of stopping.

But what happens when your hyperfixation is a rhythm game? You spend hours playing it, unfortunately leading to physical pain.

In short, Rui had gotten a repetitive strain injury from playing a rhythm game for 6 hours straight almost daily. Did he regret it? Sort of. He loved the game to death, but because of that undying love, he was now unable to invent anything due to his pained right wrist. At least it wasn't his dominant hand, he supposed, so it didn't stop him from designing things.

Still, he was pretty obviously sad that a physical injury took his beloved game away. So Tsukasa had to deal with Rui going through the withdrawal of dopamine since his hyperfixation, his main source of those silly little happy chemicals, was completely gone until his wrist stopped hurting.
