Ellie wasn’t fond of big events like festivals or holiday parties. She didn’t love the crowded rooms where she felt like she couldn’t breathe. However, though she’d never admit it, she’d never pass up an opportunity to see you.

She showed up late, subtly looking past the games and people in the courtyard for you. You spotted her, making your way over with a smile and hugging her.

“You’re late.” You said teasingly, pulling away slightly to look at her.

“I’m here, aren’t I?” She replied.
