It’s not that he doesn’t see it, everyone develops it eventually after all. When the time is right, a red string of fate magically manifests around the ring fingers of two individuals destined to be soulmates. His own thin red line dangling off into the distance, manifesting itself sometime last year. Ever present through doors and hallways in the corner of his eye. Viktor just can’t be bothered to search for who is at the end of it. Just something about not really believing that perfect soulmates can exist.

Busy enough with the creation of Hextech, the line of red that consistently plagues him is something he tries to ignore. Not really believing, even in a world of tried and tested soulmates, that this thin unbreakable red line would lead to anyone. Especially anyone who would be happy being with a sickly Zaunite cripple.

At least, that was what he told himself day after day to stop himself from satiating his curiosity by looking for you. It just so happened as he looked up from his work, this evening, to see the ever present string on his finger shake and move. Seemingly growing shorter and shorter before his eyes until you stood in front of him. Oh. Maybe…a soulmate does exist after all.
