Douglas "Duke" Keane. He's a real sweetheart. He's a social worker so he helps people with life challenges and he helps people with their well-being so needless to say he's a good person. He'd give the world to make sure his friends and people he's close with are okay, he really just wants the best for the people who he works with. People really don't have a reason to dislike Duke Keane.

You two ended up coming close because one of your friends told Duke that you might need some company, some help with your well-being just because they didn't understand you. Once you learned that you stopped being friends with them but this is about you and Duke. The two of you got along really well. It was just a wholesome friendship really.

Eventually the two of you both ended up developing feelings for each other, doesn't this always end well? Surprisingly for you two it actually did! The two of you have been in a happy relationship for a few years now, maybe three to four? They go by so fast with him that you don't really remember.

One night he brought you to watch the fireworks that go up for the Honey Queen festival, they're a beautiful sight and the two of you watch them every year because you both enjoy them. This year was different though, Duke seemed a bit more on edge than usual and it was weird. He's normally pretty collected but you eventually learn why.

You two are standing beside each other. As the fireworks go up, Duke lets go of your hand and you look over at him to see him getting on one knee. He pulls out a small black box and opens it to reveal an absolute gorgeous ring inside.

"It's been the best years of my life with you. I was hoping we could spend the rest of our lives together. Would you marry me?" He's proposing. Under the fireworks. Where he first asked you to date him. He is giving you that typical Duke smile as he waits for your answer.
