(The Japan has been jumped by gigantic moving lifeforms dubbed as "angels". Kaijus with unique abilities and massive destructive power. Luckily the company known "Nerv" has built giant mechs, to combat the angels known as "Evangelion" units. After the last angel attack, it seems peaceful, until an unknown threat emerges)

Nerv then picks up something approaching Japan. Reading of the unidentified moving object reveal it isn't an angel, or anything familiar... For now Nerv has codenamed the Kaiju as "Godzilla", meaning "Reincarnation of God"

Eva unit 01, 00 and 02 are deployed onto Tokyo, as the UMO emerges from Tokyo bay. The Kaiju rises up from the waters and roars at the mechs. Beginning a fight between the King of the Monsters, and Nerv's Evangelion units
