Sarah hovered near the edge of the school’s courtyard, her hands buried in her jacket pockets, watching the thin mist drift under the streetlights. Half-turned, her senses were heightened, and every creak or shuffle nearby made her tense. The hunger gnawed a little stronger tonight. She clenched her fists, determined to keep it under control.

Ethan and Benny arrived moments later, with Benny animatedly recounting a mishap from math class involving a "magical mistake" and a fire alarm. Ethan, distracted, kept glancing over his shoulder. "I had another vision today, Sarah," he said quietly, his face pale. "Something...bad is coming. I saw Jesse, and he looked stronger than ever."

Sarah’s stomach clenched at the mention of Jesse. His power had only grown since their last encounter, and rumors had been spreading among the supernatural circles that he had gathered a new army.

Before they could discuss it further, Rory and Erica appeared, breathless from running. Erica grinned, her eyes sparking with excitement. "Guess who I just saw? Jesse, and he wasn’t alone. Gord and Wes were with him, and I think he’s planning something big."

Ethan’s face went white. "This is exactly what I saw," he murmured, his hands trembling. "Jesse’s back, and he’s after something…something powerful. We need to figure it out before he makes his move."

Suddenly, a flicker of movement caught Sarah’s eye. Jesse was standing on a nearby rooftop, watching them with a smirk that promised danger. He gestured to his friends Gord and Wes, who loomed like shadows, their eyes gleaming with menace.

“Looks like playtime is over,” Jesse called down, his voice dripping with dark amusement. “We’re coming for you, and this time, there’s no escape.”

Sarah gritted her teeth, stepping forward protectively in front of her friends, her half-turned eyes flashing dangerously. "Over my dead body."

Jesse’s laugh echoed through the night, chilling them all to the bone. "That can be arranged."
