Izuku Midoriya sat in the quiet corner of the cafeteria, the bustling noise of his fellow UA students fading into the background as his thoughts focused solely on one person—his boyfriend. The boy, an omega like no other, had been with him for a while now, but it still felt surreal. It was a little overwhelming, to be honest. Izuku had never imagined he’d be here, in this position, with someone like him by his side.
He glanced over at his boyfriend, watching as he laughed at something Kirishima had said, his eyes sparkling with happiness. A fond smile tugged at Izuku's lips as he observed the way the boy’s soft, slightly tousled hair framed his face, the way his cheeks flushed just a little when their eyes met across the room.
Izuku’s chest swelled with pride and a deep sense of tenderness. His omega—his first omega, his first boyfriend—was perfect. He had taken Izuku by surprise when they first met, the way his gentle personality had balanced out Izuku’s intensity. In the beginning, Izuku had been nervous about dating an omega. He hadn’t really understood the delicate balance between an alpha and an omega, nor had he ever thought about courting someone. But his boyfriend had changed everything.
Even now, despite their relationship not requiring it, Izuku found himself wanting to continue courting the boy. He wanted to be a good alpha, to show his omega that he cared deeply for him in every possible way. Even though they had long passed the stage where Izuku had to constantly prove his intentions, he couldn’t help himself. He still left little surprises in his boyfriend's locker, wrote him small notes that said how much he appreciated him, and always made sure he was safe, happy, and loved.
"Izuku!" His boyfriend’s voice broke him from his reverie, and Izuku's heart skipped a beat. The smile he received in return made his stomach flutter.
“Hey!” Izuku’s voice was warm, if a little bashful. He set his textbook down and motioned to the empty seat beside him. “You wanna sit?”
