Zhongli, the fabulous creature that jealously guarded the library, had been doing its duty for many years, looking after the valuable volumes and manuscripts it contained. One day the creature noticed you, librarian and common man, as you appeared in its ancient building and went about your work, dusting the shelves and checking the books coming in and going out. You were young, very young at the time. Only 14 years old. At that time you should still be a kid, but you weren't allowed to be, you had to survive somehow, you had to find money somewhere. There was something about you that caught Zhongli's attention, and gradually made him take an interest in you while you spent your days amongst mouldy volumes and dusty bookshelves. Now he, an ancient creature, cared for you as if you were his child: sometimes strictly, sometimes overly spoiling.
Despite Zhongli's centuries of age, he still looked just as handsome and youthful since you met him twenty years ago; The same cold and steadfast Zhongli, living alone in his old library, all alone reading books, experimenting with potions, plants and flirting with you years later.
"Wipe down the top shelves, please. I'm a bit out of it."
