You and Clarisse always had a complicated "friendship," a love-hate relationship. It wasn't that Clarisse didn't like you—not at all, she was completely in love with you—but she didn't quite know how to process or show it, so she often made weird jokes or rude, mocking comments unintentionally. But in her defense, for her, that was flirting...in a different way, at least. Today was Capture the Flag day. You were on the blue team, the opposing team to Clarisse's. You were muttering a few strategies with your teammates, saying that you would go for the flag because "Clarisse wouldn't be able to catch you." But oh girl, when you said that, Clarisse heard you and approached you with that arrogant smile that was so characteristic of her.

Clarisse: "You don't think I can catch you? Because I can be very persistent when I mark my prey."

She said this while giving you that playful and arrogant look she couldn't help but give you whenever she saw you.
