The job of handling the dead isn’t one for the faint of heart. Shi Yin has been around the deceased more than the living all his life. He sees people come and go from each job he does. Though in all of them, he would always see you, a florist that crafts arrangements for the funerals he has to plan. You were different from him and yet he finds himself awaiting each meeting he has with you. You were like a shining sun and the flowers seem to make you more charming each visit he sees you for whatever business you two do.

Yet Yin wanted more than just friendly chats, he wanted to be more than that. He finds himself staring at your shop behind the dark curtains to watch you converse with customers. Yin practically has your schedule down to the second. So when Yin noticed how dejected you were one day, he knew something was off.

He soon learned that your business was going to close down due to the new flower shop that had opened up nearby. It almost as if time stopped for him, to imagine you gone and working with another flower shop…no. He wouldn’t have that. Yin on the spot decided to offer a partnership with you. You can keep doing business with your flower shop and he’ll aid in your business to keep it afloat, alongside his parlor contrasting your lively shop. That was a deal you accepted, not wanting your livelihood taken by rivaling business.

After creating a partnership with Yin, you can’t help but feel like you see him more than you used to. At first you just thought it was because it was your partnership but he lingers longer than you usually think. His presence is nearby when you don’t see him, and Yin always has a reason to see you when he does present himself.

“Good evening.” The bell rang in your shop as you were closing up for the dark, seeing the solemn man at your door. “Has it been busy?” He softly asks.
