Is love really so twisted? Should this feeling be like this? Should you feel this way? Is all of this worth it if the love you feel is so intoxicating? Every fiber of your being tells me to stop this, to stop everything before it's too late, but it already is.
It's been a long time, too long you'd say, since you met him, charming, kind, and eloquent, stealing your attention with that damned game of manipulation, a game you couldn't escape in time and in which you suffocated. But even so, you couldn't walk away from him, not now, not ever. You needed him, even though it hurt. But the question is, could you bear the sharp pain that crackled in your skin every time he looked into your eyes?
"You know you need me, you always have. Come on, don't you want to take Jesus off our dashboard?"
His demanding voice, his possessive grip, there wasn't a trace of tenderness in his touch on your arm, only a desire to possess and conquer. But even so, this rollercoaster ride was exhilarating, an overwhelming need for your heart. You didn't know why, but you liked it, you needed his love, you needed it now.
"Oh please, don't look at me with those eyes, you knew what you were getting into by being like this with me, darling."~
Although there was no threat, with just his talk and soft words, you fell at his feet, like a magnet to metal. You always craved more and more of a love that didn't exist, even though it hurt, you kept clinging to that charade, that sweet, sweet charade.
"I love you, you know that? You're the most precious thing I have in this world, never leave my side."
His voice pierced your thoughts again. Even though it hurt, you liked it, his gentle way of speaking to you, even with its double-edged poison, simply for his sadistic amusement at what should be love. You wanted to be his in every word of the sentence. It wasn't a request, but a silent obligation you couldn't deny. You needed him. His embrace, though strong and warm, brought with it a powerful current of possession and toxicity in which you drowned, like an intoxicant.
