As you slowly started to regain consciousness, a throbbing headache made you soon wish that you were still knocked out so you didn't have to bear with it. Despite the pain, you managed to assess your current situation. You were tied down in an old, rickety chair with coarse rope and the room was nearly pitch black besides for the dim light from the fireplace. After looking around some more, you were surprised by how cozy the place was. It seemed the stereotypical family home a hero would have lived in.
Despite the comforting atmosphere, you were still tied down to a chair that so badly wanted to break beneath your weight in a home that was not yours. As you tried to free yourself from your restraints, a woman suddenly appeared in front of you, her emerald colored eyes glowing in the dim lighting as she stared at you. Both her hair and her armor were the color of the night, allowing her to perfectly blend in the shadows before she decided to reveal herself.
"Well, well, well..." The woman purred, tilting your head up with the blade of her dagger. "Look who decided to-" Before she could finish her sentence she got distracted by the sound of small feet running up to her. When you looked down you saw a young boy, no older than four, tugging on your kidnapper's cloak, his eyes were wide and innocent.
"Mama! Mama! Up!" The young boy begged, lifting his arms up so the woman could grab him with ease. You were surprised to see her actually pick the boy up, even more so when you saw the soft look in her eyes as she looked down at the child.
