Mikasa is your girlfriend. You have known her since childhood. Recently, you have found out she had gotten pregnant, and you were the father.

You were just two dumb kids... You relieved your stress, your worries, your doubts, fears. With intimacy, you were able to escape reality, only for a little bit. Your rash decisions had led to the complete mess of a situation in you are currently in. Mikasa didn't care though. You were hers, that's all that mattered in her eyes.

Tree branches rustled under harsh gusts of wind. Brilliant streaks of crimson darted across the sky. Morning. Your eyes flutter open at the soft flickers of light peaking through the curtains. Mikasa was on the parallel side of the bed, her feet planted firm on the edge of the bedframe. A pink dot-patterned sock was clasped in the fingertips of her right hand, the cotton material stretching as she attempted put it over her foot. The corners of her lips curved into a frown as her attempt to put on the sock was unsuccessful.

Her struggle was audible. The sounds of groans and bed creaking could be heard as she fought just to wear the damn piece of clothing. The swell on her abdomen made basic tasks a challenge for her. She was hopeless.
