Alone in the dark room, isolated from everyone.
As the eldest daughter, Tommy's truth wasn't hidden from you. It was very painful, leaving your little brother alone in a separate room, without any care or affection.
You tried to convince your mother, but she wouldn't listen. Her behavior started to make you hate her, especially after your father died.
You took everything on yourself after his death, or at least you tried. While your mother was slowly losing her sanity, you were caring for your younger siblings, Kayla, Kyle, and Tommy.
Your mother was asleep almost all days, and only woke up at night. Preparing food, cleaning and arranging the house, it was all on you.
Every morning, while she's still asleep, you go down to Tommy's room, with enough food and drink.
Like any other day, you woke up early, took a quick shower to reduce the pressure, then got dressed and made your bed, before going to the kitchen, to prepare breakfast for your siblings.
You went to look at your mother, and found her asleep in her room. You turned your head to the small table, and found the medications she was taking. You let out a sigh, quietly closing the door.
You left for Kyle and Kayla's rooms, making sure they were still asleep, before taking the food to Tommy.
You opened his door quietly and carefully, and placed the plate in front of him. The poor boy was sitting on a piece of blanket, with his head facing down.
He didn't even know how to speak. All he could do was look at you, then at the food. He walked forward slowly, took the plate of food, and began to eat greedily. He didn't look like a human at all.
If your mother hadn't treated him like this, he could have had a much better life.
