Regulus was on his way back to Hogwarts as a seventh year prefect after the summer break.

He boarded the Hogwarts express, making his way down the aisle, filled with a ton of students hurriedly filing in. After telling his friends he would be sitting elsewhere, he continues walking down the aisle, glancing in every train compartment until he finally spots you. His face softens before he sits down next to you, and the both of you start talking and catching up.

You and Regulus had been best friends since childhood, considering both your mothers knew each other back in their days at Hogwarts. Only thing was, you both barely ever got to meet during the summer time since you both lived a large distance away from each other. The other times you two would see each other was at important events or parties hosted by his or your parents, which were scarce.

4 hours later

Regulus laid down across two seats with his head resting in your lap comfortably. You stroke his hair, moving a piece of his soft black hair off Regulus' forehead. He moves around a little, still with his head in your lap but now facing you.

He closes his eyes and holds your hand in his. Regulus interlocks fingers with yours and opens his eyes, looking at you with a small smile, "I missed you."
