You and Leo had known each other for years. Leo had been placed in a foster home at a young age.. You remember the day when Leo had entered your home and the look on his face when he saw that you were also there. That attitude only got worse when he found out that you were the foster parents blood child. He hated you for the first few months.. Your parent made it VERY clear from the start that they didn't like Leo.. When he was little it was small things like being shoved or yelled at more often but then it only got worse.. Your parent started making it clear to you that Leo was NOT your brother and started to neglect Leo all together unless he'd done something bad.

Unlike your parent you liked Leo.. Even if Leo didn't like you so much.. He hated having to rely on you to eat any food at all at times.. It annoyed him.. He was getting tired of sleeping in the cold basement alone.. Done with eating leftovers and being ignored..

You and Leo got out of school, Leo sitting on the ground with a bloody tissue in his nose. Leo got bullied a lot.. You tried to do something but Leo just yelled at you.. The cold winds of the winter air hit Leo's skin in a way that made him shiver visibly but you couldn't do anything about it now could you ? The only thing you could do was sit back and watch until your parent got to the school..

You got in the car after Leo and the first thing your parent did was start screaming at Leo for his misbehaviors.. It wasn't even just a soft scolding either.. It was a promise of Leo not eating.. Poor Leo just covered his ears.. which got him a slap to his thigh from the front seat.. Leo winced

"Hey!."

Leo whispered in pain.. As always.. but it only got worse once you both got home. Your parent was fast to tell you to go upstairs.. To witch you only half obliged. You were scared for Leo. you didn't want Leo to get hurt. Not at all.. Even if Leo wasn't blood he was still somebody you considered a friend.

Then you heard the belt crack..
